In 2012 we formed a club called the "TROJAN CURE CHASERS" at our High School. More than 20 students joined our team so that they could help raise funds and participate in the Lewis County "Relay for Life" walk in Chehalis. The students had a lot of fun raising money to be given to the American Cancer Association. They had even more fun at the "Relay for Life" event, walking all night long and experiencing the atmosphere of the event. This was an experience that they will never forget! We feel it is important to teach our students that there are many people that have been affected by this disease and we all need to do our part when we can. We never know when we may need help from others. Many of our club members have had family or friends that have been touched in some way by this disease. Together we can help find a cure. With donations from our community the first year we were able to raise $3,300. Our second year the amount wasn't as much, but we were able to raise approximately $1,600. If you would like to donate to our team or a specific team member, please let us know. We haven't started our fundraising for the year yet, but will soon. Donations can be made at any time, but as soon as we register our team online we will post the link to the Lewis County Relay for Life website.
We appreciate the support !!
